Much of our pop culture knowledge comes from having been raised by TV addicts. Florence Jean Castleberry (aka Flo), the sassy Mel’s Diner waitress from “Alice” played on television by the illustrious Polly Holliday, is the first in a series of paintings saluting the feminist heroes of our childhood: 1970’s sitcom broads. Produced using acrylics on 8″ x 8″ commercial canvas and finished with a clear polymer glaze.
